Free agent outfielder Grady Sizemore is still recovering from microfracture knee surgery but has resumed baseball activities.
The Boston Globe reported Sizemore could sign with a team for the second half of the season.
Sizemore, 30, was a three-time All-Star and two-time Gold Glove centerfielder with the Cleveland Indians, but didn't re-sign with the team because he wanted to wait until he was healthy. Injuries derailed his career beginning in 2009, when he played only 106 games after averaging 160 the previous four seasons.
He played a total of 104 games in 2010 and 2011 and was out of baseball last season.
