Derrick Favors registered his 18th double-double this season, scoring 15 points and registering 14 rebounds, to help the Utah Jazz beat the Philadelphia 76ers, 104-92. Utah (22-41) has won just three of its last 10 games.
Favors shot 6-9 from the field, in what was an efficient performance. Other top performers for Utah were Gordon Hayward with 22 points and 8 assists, and Enes Kanter with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Tony Wroten had a strong performance off the bench for Philadelphia despite the loss, putting up 30 points on 12-15 shooting from the field and 6-8 from the free throw line.
As expected, the 76ers offense did not have its best game, struggling to score against the stingy Jazz defense that ranks second in the league with a defensive efficiency of 106.9. They registered just .930 points per possession in this game, and rank 30th in the NBA with an offensive efficiency of 95.7 on the season.
Philadelphia (15-47) has now lost 16 consecutive games.
Coming up, the Jazz square off with the Atlanta Hawks, who are 26-34 on the season. The 76ers match up with the New York Knicks, currently sitting at 23-40 this year. The Jazz have a 0-1 record against Atlanta this season. The 76ers have a 1-1 record against New York this season.
