LAST YEAR: Brandt Snedeker shot a 6-under-par 64 in the third round to tie for the lead with Justin Rose, then closed with a 68 that gave him a three-stroke victory over the Englishman. Snedeker, who became the fifth player to win the FedEx Cup and its $10 million prize (only Tiger Woods has done it twice), overcame a double-bogey 6 on the sixth hole Sunday by carding three birdies in a span of five holes though No. 16. Rose, who closed with a 71 that included consecutive bogeys on the fifth and sixth holes, recorded his only birdies of the final day on the 11th and 15th holes. Rory McIlroy, who came into the finale leading the point standings after winning the Deutsche Bank Championship and the BMW Championship, started with three rounds in the 60s but closed with a 74 to tie for 10th and wound up second in the season-long race.

The 51-year-old Wood, who claimed his second victory of the season and of his career on the Champions Tour after winning only once on the PGA Tour, shot 6-under-par 66, while Glasson imploded down the stretch and finished at 72. Seeking his first victory in 47 events on the senior circuit, Glasson had a four-stroke lead after opening with 66-65. He stretched his margin to five shots with a birdie on the ninth hole of the final round before carding five bogeys coming home. Wood, whose only PGA Tour victory came in the 1996 Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic, did not record a bogey in 54 holes, opening with 68-68.
