New York Giants wide receiver Ramses Barden has been cleared to practice and play after sustaining a concussion more than a week ago.
But running back Andre Brown is not yet recovered from a concussion from Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns.
Barden was injured on Sept. 30 against Philadelphia.
Brown is required to follow the NFL's protocol for concussions before he can be cleared, much like Barden had to last week. The Giants play the San Francisco 49ers in a rematch of January's NFC championship game.
"He's not 100 percent, that's obvious," Coughlin said of Brown. "He has a concussion."
Coughlin did not have an update on injured wide receiver Hakeem Nicks, who has been out with knee swelling and pain in his surgically repaired foot. A MRI showed there was no structural damage to the knee.
"I'm going to wait until I gather all that information," Coughlin said. "Let's take one day at a time here and see how it works out."
Tight end Martellus Bennett hyperextended his left knee Sunday but re-entered the game. He was scheduled to have the knee examined Monday.
