New York Giants offensive lineman David Diehl will not miss the first day of training camp, despite getting arrested last month on charges of driving under the influence.
Diehl made an unscheduled appearance in a Queens Criminal court Saturday morning, according to the New York Post.
Diehl was scheduled to reappear in court next Thursday, the first day of Giants' camp, but his attorneys were able to get the earlier hearing.
The Post reported that Diehl's lawyers updated the judge Saturday about "continuing discussions for a possible disposition" for the DUI charges. Diehl must appear in court again on Sept. 7.
Diehl crashed his BMW into two parked cars on June 10 after a day of drinking. He has publicly apologized for the incident.
