Casillas posted a text message he received from the league the following day. It said he was scheduled for a random drug test. His name was incorrectly spelled in the message but advised he should schedule a test “as soon as possible”.

Casillas was the Giants’ defensive captain last season, his second season with the team. He has not failed a drug test in his seven NFL seasons with the New Orleans Saints (2009-12), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2013-14), and New England Patriots (2014).
The Buccaneers suspended Casillas for a preseason game in 2014 for a violation of team rules.
Casillas is entering the final year of the three-year, $10.5 million deal signed in 2015. He finished second on the team in tackles (behind All-Pro safety Landon Collins) with 96, eight defended passes, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.
