ATLANTA (AP) -- Curtis Washington scored 17 points and Devonta White added 16 as Georgia State snapped a four-game losing streak and beat Division II Young Harris College 71-54 on Wednesday night.
Washington shot 80 percent from the floor while White finished 6 of 9. The Panthers (3-5) never trailed in the matchup and made up for dismal shooting behind the arc (1 of 7) by shooting 62.2 percent from the field. Georgia State held a 12-point lead at the half.
Kevin Altidor scored 16 points for the Mountain Lions while C.J. Wilson came off the bench to score 12 and made three of the team's six 3-pointers. Young Harris (5-1) could not get any closer than nine points in the second half.
The loss will not count towards the Mountain Lions record as the matchup was an exhibition game for the Division II school.
