British cast members Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington and Lena Headey and Peter Dinklage, as well as Danish co-star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau have signed mega contracts with HBO to continue in the series – based on the books by George R. R. Martin – for another two season.

Though it might seem like an extraordinary amount to be paid, last year the show achieved a record-breaking 23 million viewers per episode.

What’s more, the seventh series is set to air some of the most shocking scenes yet with mother of dragons Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).

A source revealed: “Fans who thought last season’s giant battle scene was breathtaking should know they ain’t seen nothing yet.”

The contracts reportedly include a golden deal around complex bonus clauses based on shared percentages of syndication payments, received from more than 170 countries in which the series is broadcast – which means even more cash for the stars if the show does well.

It’s great work if you can get it!
