Florida State is seeking several potential game breakers on offense for the class of 2018, and Greensboro, N.C., standout Tre Turner is certainly one of the top options. This past weekend, the Rivals100 wide receiver got a chance to see FSU for the first time, and the Seminoles made a big impression on Turner and his family.
"I got to hang out with a lot of the players. I think that was the coolest part of the visit because I've never done that before," Turner said. "I hung out with George Campbell most of the time. He basically was telling me how fun it is at FSU and how it was the best decision he made by choosing FSU."
Turner, whose main recruiter is running backs coach and North Carolina native Jay Graham, said he also had a good time spending time with Graham and wide receivers coach Lawrence Dawsey.
"It was nothing but good vibes talking with Coach Graham because I've talked to him before," the four-star receiver said. "But getting to know Coach Dawsey was cool, too."
Turner said the Seminoles didn't pull any punches when explaining that they need players like him in this next signing class.
"They were pretty straight up, saying they want to sign three receivers in this class and I'm definitely one that they want bad," he said.
On the visit, Turner was joined by his mother, stepfather and brother. The explosive receiver talked about his first impressions of Tallahassee and whether he might be making a return trip soon.
