COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West released its national television package for the 2017 football season on Wednesday and the announcement guarantees that the Bulldogs will play all six regular season home games on Saturdays in 2017.
"The fact that our fans now know that they can plan their weekends in the fall around six home Saturday games is huge," said Director of Athletics Jim Bartko. "All of us, especially our fans, have been wanting this for some time now and it is here, it can only help the Red Wave rally around Coach Tedford and our Bulldogs. It's going to be an exciting fall."
Between CBS Sports Network and the ESPN networks, 44 Mountain West football games will be aired this coming season on various platforms.
Fresno State's games selected as part of the MW national television package were:
Oct. 21 – at San Diego State – CBS Sports Network (7:30 p.m. PT)
Nov. 4 – BYU – An ESPN Network (TBA)
Nov. 25 – Boise State – CBS Sports Network (12:30 p.m. PT)
Wednesday's release is the first of several announcements in the coming months regarding telecasts and kick times with various television partners. CBSSN and ESPN can still add games while ROOT SPORTS, the Mountain West Network powered by Campus Insiders and Oceanic Time Warner Cable will also have several selections. But none of the additional selections associated with the Mountain West will have the ability to change the date of the game. Fresno State will have to wait on the decision on game day and kick times with its two nonconference road games from the Pac-12 and SEC, respectively.
Note: For the Nov. 4 game selected by ESPN, the kick time and specific ESPN outlet is customarily determined during the regular season (generally a 12-day window).
