Fred Jackson: (Knee) Listed as Questionable, But Hopes to Play Staff

Update: Following Friday’s practice, coach Chan Gailey noted that Jackson (knee) and C.J. Spiller are "both questionable, 50-50 and I think they both have a legitimate chance" to play Sunday against the Patriots, the Bills' official site reports.

Recommendation: While Jackson is still experiencing some soreness in his knee, he did confirm that he has received medical clearance to play on Sunday. For his part, Jackson seems optimistic about his chances of playing and while both banged-up backs should be viewed as game-time decisions, Jackson seems less iffy at this point, barring any setbacks. "It was a little sorer earlier in the week, but it feels better now," Jackson said of his sprained knee on Friday. "We’ll do some stuff today and again tomorrow to see if I can get it even better and more ready to go, but I’m excited about it. It did come to a point where it started feeling better so I think I’ll be ready to go."
