Add another outlet to the growing list that approves of Indiana's hire of Archie Miller.
FOX Sports ranked this offseason's moves from worst to best, and Miller checks in at No. 2 on their list.
"When Indiana fired Tom Crean, AD Fred Glass said he wanted to bring in a guy who could return Indiana to its glory days," Aaron Torres wrote. "To his credit, he appears to have found that in Archie Miller.
"Miller is widely regarded as one of the brightest young coaches in the game, has great bloodlines (as the brother of Arizona’s Sean Miller) and is a proven winner. He took Dayton to the past four NCAA tournaments, including the 2014 Elite Eight. Crean didn’t make it that far once in his nine years at the school.
"There are still questions surrounding Miller, mainly how well he’ll be able to recruit the talent-rich state of Indiana. But there’s a lot to like about this hire."
The only hire that ranked ahead of Indiana's was former UNC-Wilmington coach Kevin Keatts at NC State.
"Part of ranking the hires is balancing the coach with the school hiring him," Torres wrote. "For that reason alone, Keatts is atop this list.
"Not because he’ll necessarily be better than Miller at Indiana, but because relative to the school, no one did a better job at finding a coach.
"The past decade or so of Wolfpack basketball has been a mess, as NC State has been led by a couple of coaches short on experience (Sidney Lowe) and success (Mark Gottfried). So for them to go out and get one of the hottest young coaches in the sport – a guy who has made two straight NCAA tournaments, is a proven recruiter and plays a fun style of basketball – it’s a home run.
"Will NC State be competing with Duke and North Carolina atop the ACC standings going forward? Probably not. But the Wolfpack will be much improved and competitive. And for that reason alone, they've made the best coaching hire of the offseason. "
