Former Louisiana Tech starting quarterback Nick Isham is leaving the program, but no reasons were given by coach Sonny Dykes.
Isham started seven of nine games he played in last year as a 17-year-old freshman. He completed 155 of 257 passes for 1,457 yards with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions for the Bulldogs.
Dykes told NBC Sports that he and Isham did not discuss why the quarterback left the team. Isham was listed as the backup to senior Colby Cameron on the spring depth chart.
When Isham made his first start against Southern Mississippi, he became the second youngest to ever start a college football game at 17 years, 11 months old.
