The Florida Gators have week off before their SEC home opener against Tennessee. The extra time should give Gators quarterback Jeff Driskel plenty of time to recuperate from a knee sprain suffered in Saturday's 21-16 loss to Miami, the school said Monday.
According to multiple reports, Driskel was seen on campus using crutches Monday after being injured in the second quarter on Saturday.
Despite being injured, Driskel finished the game with a career-high 291 passing yards while accounting for two touchdowns. But he had three turnovers and was stopped on 4th-and-1 at the Hurricanes' 16-yard line in the loss, which dropped the Gators to No. 18.
