Florida State running back James Wilder Jr. will miss Saturday's game against North Carolina State due to a concussion.
Coach Jimbo Fisher said Friday that Wilder was not cleared to play.
Wilder was injured last Saturday against Clemson, a Seminoles' win that gave them the No. 2 spot in the first BCS standings of the season. Wilder was considered day-to-day throughout the week.
Junior Devonta Freeman will get an even larger workload with Wilder out but will be backed up by Karlos Williams, who has six touchdowns and is averaging 8.48 yards per carry.
Florida State will honor former coach Bobby Bowden at Doak Campbell Stadium before the game.
