Florida State will be without two starters this weekend after linebacker Christian Jones and defensive tackle Eddie Goldman were suspended Thursday for an unspecified violation of team rules.
The Seminoles (2-0) face FCS opponent Bethune-Cookman (3-0) on Saturday.
"It is (disappointing), but it's all correctable, and it's all done," Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher said, according to ESPN.com. "But we have to go abide by a certain set of guidelines."
Jones was the team's leading tackler last year and has 13 tackles and two quarterback hurries in two games this year. Goldman is a first-year starter with two tackles so far this season.
Their replacements for Saturday's game will be sophomore Terrance Smith at linebacker and Demonte McAllister and Nile Lawrence-Stample on the defensive line.
