Fight breakdown: Liddell vs. Jardine

Chuck Liddell and Keith Jardine are looking to get back on the winning track after suffering first-round knockout losses the last time out. Here is what each man must do to win Saturday night:

Keys to victory

LIDDELL’S KEYS

JARDINE'S KEYS

1. Keep it simple: Liddell has long been one of the world's elite mixed martial artists. He shouldn't feel the need to make dramatic changes because of one loss.

1. Kick to the body: Jardine has a number of good
kicks in his repertoire and he needs to use them.

2. Change directions: Liddell likes to circle, but shouldn't become predictable.

Don't square up: Jardine has a tendency to walk
straight in, which will provide a target for Liddell's
powerful strikes.

3. Jab: He needs a range-finger to set up that booming right as well as to slow Jardine's right.

3. Force Liddell straight back: Liddell is best
when moving to the side, pivoting and firing. That
ability is decreased when he's going backward.

4. Start early: It will be Jardine's first pay-per-view main event and Liddell should maximize the pressure Jardine feels by starting quickly.

4. Test the body: When he's within range, Jardine
should pound at Liddell's 37-year-old midsection.
