FedExCup playoffs score big ratings

The dramatic conclusion to the FedExCup season brought in strong ratings gains across networks that broadcast playoff events for the PGA Tour.
NBC averaged 3.43 million viewers for its weekend telecasts, the networks' highest numbers since it current deal began in 2007 and up 45 percent from last season, according to The Sports Business Daily.
CBS also saw its viewership rise 20 percent, from 2.28 million viewers in '11 to 2.75 million this season.
Golf Channel's coverage of the FedExCup playoffs was up 23 percent over last season, according to The Daily.
