Evan Turner, Michael Carter-Williams carry 76ers by Bobcats

Spencer Hawes finished with 17 points and recorded 14 rebounds and 7 assists in a spectacular all-around effort to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a close victory over the Charlotte Bobcats, 95-92. This snaps a four-game losing streak for Philadelphia (13-25).

Hawes finished 7-12 (3-6 from three-point range) in a strong performance. Other key players for Philadelphia included Evan Turner with 23 points and 7 rebounds, and Michael Carter-Williams with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Kemba Walker had another strong game for Charlotte in the loss, scoring 26 points on 9-21 shooting (2-7 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 6-6 from the free throw line. He also registered 8 assists and 5 rebounds. Al Jefferson added 24 points and 8 rebounds and Josh McRoberts finished with 10 points and 6 rebounds.

In addition to 25.0% from 3-point range, the Bobcats tallied an eFG% of just 42.6%. They are 1-10 on the season when registering marks below 30% and 45%, respectively, in those statistics. The 76ers, conversely, are undefeated (3-0) when holding the opposition to such dismal shooting numbers.
