ETSU defeats North Florida 65-50

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) Isiah Brown scored a career-high 27 points to lead East Tennessee State to a 65-50 win over North Florida on Saturday.

Brown made 11 of 18 field goal attempts and helped the Buccaneers shoot 50 percent (25 of 50) from the field.

Adam Sollazzo added 16 points and Sheldon Cooley 11 for ETSU (13-11, 7-6 Atlantic Sun Conference), which has won three of its past four games.

ETSU broke a 35-35 tie with 17 unanswered points in the second half to take its largest lead of the game at 52-35 with 11:59 to play. The lead remained in double digits the rest of the way. North Florida made only 7 of 19 shots in the second half.

The Buccaneers dominated close to the basket, outscoring North Florida 34-18 in points in the paint.

Parker Smith scored 17 points to lead the Ospreys (13-14, 7-7), who have lost two straight.
