ELON, N.C. (AP) -- - Sebastian Koch and Tanner Samson ended the night with five 3-pointers apiece as Elon cruised to a 114-64 win over Washington & Lee Friday.
Koch led all scorers with 22 points, and Samson scored a career-high 17 points to lead Elon. Elon connected on four 3-pointers in the game's first six minutes while shooting 72 percent from the field. The Phoenix outscored Washington & Lee 56-18 in the paint and capitalized off 14 of the Generals' turnovers with 25 points.
Ryley Beaumont and Lucas Troutman both scored 18 points, and rookie Christian Hairston added 10 points to round out five Phoenix players in double figures.
Andrew Franz and Drew Kimberly led the Generals with 12 points apiece.
The win marks the largest margin of victory during Matt Matheny's tenure as Phoenix head coach.
