Early pickups for Week 15: Moves to help secure a fantasy title

Yahoo Sports Staff

If you’re still looking to make roster moves in Week 15, you’re one win closer to your dream of a fantasy title a becoming reality. Andy Behrens has three names to consider adding who are widely available in Yahoo leagues.

A Melvin Gordon hip injury likely ended many fantasy seasons, which puts Kenneth Farrow squarely on the radar. While the severity of Gordon’s injury is unknown, Farrow stepped in and was the main option out of the San Diego Chargers’ backfield. He touched the ball 22 times for 78 yards. Those numbers aren’t great but his upcoming matchups against the Oakland Raiders and the Cleveland Browns are favorable. Those are two of the six worst run defenses in the NFL. He’s unowned in 97 percent of leagues so add accordingly.

Lions receiver Anquan Boldin is a name you know but may have forgotten. He’s among the most targeted options inside the 10-yard line and has primarily been used by Detroit the way a tight end is traditionally targeted in the red zone. He isn’t going to give you a huge yardage but has scored in seven different games this season. If you’re looking for receiver help, you could do worse than Boldin. He’s owned in 33 percent of leagues.

Finally, Buffalo Bills tight end Charles Clay showed signs of life on Sunday. He caught three balls for 52 yards and a touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He’s been a disappointment this season but has a great schedule the next two weeks, facing the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins. He’s only owned in 10 percent of leagues.
