Dwight Howard: (Shoulder) Exam Scheduled For Thursday

RotoWire.com Staff

Update: Howard will have his right shoulder reevaluated Thursday, the Los Angeles Times reports. He aggravated the torn labrum in that shoulder during Wednesday's loss at Phoenix.

Recommendation: It is known that a surgery to fix the ailment would sideline Howard for at least six months, which he is clearly reluctant to undertake at this time. However, if he continues this cycle of aggravation followed by a brief recovery and week or two of game action, his hand may ultimately be forced, with a procedure to follow. In the meantime, though, Howard will undergo an exam Thursday, which should reveal the extent of the injury and his availability for Friday's game in Minnesota.
