The San Antonio Spurs' big three --- Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker -- all sat out Monday night's game against the Chicago Bulls.
Duncan and Ginobili were not expected to play, but Parker's absence was a surprise. The point guard had swelling in a knee after Sunday's win over Brooklyn and was held out as a precaution.
The Spurs appear to be showing caution with the three veterans as the All-Star break approaches this weekend.
San Antonio plays its final game before the break on Wednesday against Cleveland. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich woudn't speculate whether any of the three would return for that game.
"That's so far into the future," Popovich said. "How in the world do you expect (an answer)?"
