Dominant second half sends Arsenal by West Ham

Mesut Ozil had a goal with an assist as Arsenal did all their scoring in the second half en route to a 3-0 roughing of reeling West Ham United on Wednesday at the Emirates.

It was just the second win in the last seven Premier League matches for the Gunners (16-6-7). For once this year, Arsenal thoroughly enjoyed their football.

After Ozil scored in the 58th minute, he assisted on Theo Walcott's goal 10 minutes later. Olivier Giroud capped the scoring in the 83rd and Arsenal earned their first league win since Feb. 11.

West Ham (9-6-16) lost for a fifth consecutive contest, and remains winless in seven straight since winning at Southampton on Feb. 4.

Striker Andy Carroll struggled up top and was substituted for young Swiss international Edimilson Fernandes, who fashioned their best chance of the game with a fine strike from distance.
