The Miami Dolphins have re-signed veteran cornerback Brent Grimes to a multi-year deal, the team announced.
The Dolphins avoided having to use the franchise tag, which would have cost $11.834 million on a one-year tender.
Grimes, 30, recorded 60 tackles and four interceptions.
The Dolphins couldn't lose Grimes, and now they have him locked up for several seasons.
