The Los Angeles Dodgers released right-handed pitcher Mark Lowe, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Lowe allowed five runs (including four earned runs) in 8.2 innings in the spring.
In February, he signed a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. He would have been paid $1.5 million if he had made the Opening Day roster.
Lowe, 29, was 0-2 with a 3.43 ERA for Texas last season.
