Dodgers pick up C Butera from Twins

The Los Angeles Dodgers made a minor deadline deal on Wednesday, obtaining catcher Drew Butera from the Minnesota Twins for a player to be named, acccording to multiple reports.
The 30-year-old Butera is a light-hitting defensive specialist who figures to be the Dodgers' third catcher behind A.J. Ellis and Tim Federowicz.
Butera has played in only two games this season for Minnesota and in 186 games during his four years with the Twins. He has a .182 career batting average with five home runs and 41 RBIs.
In 27 games with Triple-A Rochester this year, Butera was batting .218 with two home runs and 10 RBIs.
