A UCLA fan campaign calling for the firing of head coach Jim Mora went into action on Saturday with two airplane banners flying over the Rose Bowl.

One banner flying before Saturday’s game against Arizona State read: “UCLA FB 16 YRS 0 ROSE BOWLS 0 CONF TITLES!” and the other said: “GUERRERO 9-16 THE LAST 25 GAMES NO MORA!”

The Bruins (4-5 overall, 2-4 in the Pac-12) have lost three out of their last four games and could find themselves missing back-to-back bowl games for the first time since 1989-90. UCLA must win two of its last three games to become eligible for a bowl.

ASU (5-4, 4-2) is coming off a 41-30 win over Colorado last week.

Saturday’s game isn’t the last time UCLA fans will see the banners either. From the Los Angeles Times:

Airplane banners will then take aim at UCLA athletic director Dan Guerrero starting at noon Monday when they are flown over the Westwood campus for 35 minutes, Peters said. The same routine is scheduled to take place Tuesday and Wednesday.
