PHOENIX -- Paul Goldschmidt had three hits, including his third career two-home run game, and broke a tie with his two-run homer in the fifth inning to lead Arizona to an 11-5 victory over Cincinnati on Friday night.
Willie Bloomquist singled and Goldschmidt homered for the first two runs of a four-run fifth against Reds starter Johnny Cueto.. Goldschmidt hit a solo homer in the sixth to make it 8-3.
Goldschmidt has 19 homers, four in the last four games, and leads the National League with 65 RBIs.
Jason Kubel tied a career high with four hits and scored three runs, Didi Gregorius had three hits against his former team, Martin Prado had two sacrifice flies and Gerardo Parra homered for the Diamondbacks (40-33).
Joey Votto had three hits, including his 13th home run, and was a triple short of the cycle for the Reds (44-31), who have lost three of their last four and have scored 19 runs in their last seven games.
Jay Bruce hit his 16th homer of the season and 150th of his career for Cincinnati.
Cueto (4-1) gave up seven runs and 11 hits in his second start since coming off his second stint on the disabled list with a shoulder strain.
Will Harris (1-0) got the victory after striking out the only batter he faced with runners on first and third for the final out of the fifth inning, after the Reds scored twice to tie it at 3.
Arizona's Gerardo Parra started the game with a homer to right field, his fifth leadoff home run of the season.
Bloomquist's two-out, two-run single with the bases loaded in the second made it 3-0.
Bruce's home run off Wade Miley, his sixth against a left-hander hit season, cut it to 3-1 in the fourth. Bruce leads the majors with 40 homers against lefties since 2010.
In the fifth, Joey Votto doubled in a run and Brandon Phillips had an RBI when the Reds tied the score at 3 and knocked Miley out of the game.
NOTES: Diamondbacks RHP Zeke Spruill made his major league debut in sixth inning after being recalled from Triple-A Reno to add bullpen length. Spruill was 3-3 with a 4.06 ERA in nine starts at Reno. IF Josh WIlson was designated for assignment to create room on the roster. Wilson was hitting .200 with one homer and four RBIs in 60 at-bats. ... The Diamondbacks announced RHP Randall Delgado will start the final game of the series Sunday, with RHP Brandon McCarthy (shoulder) on the disabled list and RHP Ian Kennedy serving his 10-game suspension.
