Deron Williams had a big game, scoring 25 points on 10-16 shooting from the field (1-5 from behind the arc) and 4-7 from the free throw line. Other top contributors for Brooklyn included Kevin Garnett with 11 points and 9 rebounds, and Andray Blatche with 11 points and 9 rebounds. On 8-16 shooting, including 3-6 from behind the arc, Avery Bradley put up 22 points for Boston in the loss. Jared Sullinger added 15 points and 5 rebounds and Brandon Bass finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Along with their eFG% of 57.9%, the Nets posted a FTA rate of 40.0. This season, they are 1-0 when they exceed 55% and 35.0 in those respective metrics. Conversely, the Celtics are 1-1 when allowing their opponents to hit those marks.

This loss snaps a three-game winning streak for Boston, dropping them to 10-13 on the year.
