Demaryius Thomas led the way to a victory for the Broncos over the Chargers, 28-20, at Qualcomm Stadium.
A superb performance for Peyton Manning was capped by four touchdowns on 25 of 36 passing for 330 yards and one fumble. On the Chargers side, Philip Rivers went 19 for 29 with 218 yards passing, one touchdown and no interceptions.
Knowshon Moreno was a focal point for the Broncos, running at will on the Chargers for 65 yards on 15 carries while adding eight receptions for 49 yards. Thomas was a highlight, pulling in seven passes for 108 yards with three touchdowns.
The Denver defense surrendered 131 yards rushing and 218 passing. They harassed Rivers and the Chargers offensive line with an imposing four sacks.
Chargers running back Ryan Mathews contributed 59 yards rushing and one touchdown. Tight end Antonio Gates also had a noteworthy performance with 62 receiving yards.
The Broncos will play host to the Chiefs (9-0) next week while the Chargers head to Miami Gardens to face off with the Dolphins (4-4).
