David West had a quality performance, scoring 25 points on 11-13 shooting. Other key players for Indiana included Roy Hibbert with 14 points and 12 rebounds, Lance Stephenson with 12 points and 6 rebounds, and Luis Scola with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Despite the loss, Wilson Chandler scored 17 points for Denver on 6-19 shooting, including 2-8 from behind the arc.
The Pacers combined hot shooting (eFG% of 60.0%) with high-quality work on the offensive backboards (OR% of 38.2%). They are undefeated (2-0) on the season when exceeding 55% and 30%, respectively, in those metrics. The Nuggets, however, are winless (0-3) when giving up those numbers to their opponents.
Denver (24-26) has now lost three straight games.
Coming up, the Pacers battle the Dallas Mavericks, who are 31-21 on the season. The Nuggets match up with the Minnesota Timberwolves, currently sitting at 24-27 this year. The Nuggets have won their last two meetings with Minnesota.
