Driver David Reutimann will replace Kurt Busch in the No. 51 car at Pocono Raceway for Sunday's Sprint Cup race.
Reutimann received permission from Tommy Baldwin to get out of the No. 10 he drives when Danica Patrick isn't in the car. Dave Blaney will drive the No. 10 at Pocono, Baldwin said.
Busch was suspended for making threatening comments to Sporting News reporter Bob Pockrass after Saturday's Nationwide Series race at Dover International Speedway. Phoenix Racing owner James Finch told SiriusXM radio Tuesday morning that he will meet with Busch next week.
"He needs to either get his mind right or he's going to be working somewhere else," Finch told SiriusXM. "Quit wrecking cars. Be nice to people. That's not hard to do."
Busch's suspension runs through June 13, making him eligible to return for the June 17 race at Michigan.
"I accept NASCAR's decision," Busch said in a statement on Monday. "I put them in a box, they had to take action and it's my fault for putting them in this position. I apologize for the comments I made to Bob Pockrass."
