VERMILLION, S. D. (AP) -- Trey Norris drilled a pair of 3-pointers and converted a pair of free throws with 12 seconds left in the game to give South Dakota a come-from-behind, 76-75 win over California State-Northridge Thursday night.
Down by eight after Stephan Hicks' 3-pointer with 3:42 left, Norris sandwiched his 3-pointers around a pair of field goals and a free throw from Trevor Gruis to cut the Northridge lead to one, 75-74 with 1:22 to play. Neither team could score until Norris hit his free throws to give the Coyotes the win.
Norris finished with 20 points to lead South Dakota (4-9). Brandon Bos added 13 points and Gruis contributed another 11.
Hicks and Stephen Maxwell each had 19 points to lead the Matadors (8-7), who have just one win on the road. Josh Greene added 17 points.
