RADFORD, Va. (AP) Quintin Dailey scored 13 points and Eastern Michigan defeated Radford 52-48 on Tuesday night.
The Eagles (5-6) trailed 31-27 with 13:34 left in the game before scoring seven straight. Quintin Dailey hit back-to-back 3s and, after a Radford turnover, Anthony Strickland made a free throw to put the Eagles up 34-31 with 11:38 remaining.
Eastern Michigan shot 46.7 percent from 3-point range (7 of 15) in snapping a five-game losing streak. The win comes one game after Eastern Michigan had its lowest scoring total since 1956-57. The Eagles lost to Purdue 61-36 on Dec. 10.
Eastern Michigan went to the free-throw line 10 more times than Radford, going 13 of 17 (76.5 percent). Radford was 6 of 7 from the line.
Jareal Smith and R.J. Price led the Highlanders with 18 points apiece. Radford shot 32.1 percent from the field (17 of 53) in its ninth straight loss.
