A Tennessee high school lineman in the Class of 2019 was on campus last weekend for the spring game and came away with a whole new idea of what Iowa State is all about.

Nashville (Tenn.) Franklin Road Academy sophomore Tymon Mitchell, who is being recruited to play offensive line, took in the Cyclones’ spring game and said the whole experience changed his perspective.

The 6-foot-3, 285-pound Mitchell, who also has an offer from Vanderbilt, spent time later Saturday afternoon with Tom Manning, the offensive line coach and coordinator.

As for the spring game itself, Mitchell said he got a pretty good idea for the fan support given how many supporters showed up last Saturday.

For more on Mitchell's recruitment and how the Cyclones up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
