Cubs minor-leaguer suspended 50 games

Chicago Cubs minor-league right-handed pitcher Pedro Silverio has been suspended 50 games without pay after testing positive for Metabolites of Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Silverio, who is on the Cubs' Dominican Summer League roster, will begin serving his suspension at the start of the DSL season.
