Former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher addressed reports that he wants to return to coaching by saying that he plans to stay at CBS, where he works as a studio analyst.
Cowher, 55, coached the Steelers from 1992-2006. He recently reportedly said he expects to return to the sideline at some point.
"Contrary to reports, I have no plans on coaching," he said on the CBS pregame show Saturday. "I plan on being with one team, and that is this team here at CBS. I know we are going to the Super Bowl. And now it is time to talk about the journey that each of these teams are taking to get there as well."
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette recently reported that several teams who have contacted Cowher were told he is not interested in interviewing for coaching jobs.
Cowher went 149-90-1 over 15 seasons with the Steelers. Pittsburgh also won Super Bowl XL under Cowher.
