The Dallas Cowboys announced Friday night that they hired Rod Marinelli as their defensive line coach.
Marinelli will work under new defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin, who took over for the fired Rob Ryan. Marinelli replaces Brian Baker, whom the Cowboys fired after the regular season.
Marinelli was the Chicago Bears defensive coordinator since 2010. Before that, he was the Detroit Lions head coach. Marinelli was also an assistant with Kiffin for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for 10 years.
Marinelli left the Bears to pursue another job when the team hired Marc Trestman as head coach this week.
