Each week on Friday a member of the cover32 Packers staff will answer four burning question surrounding the team. This week is Managing Editor Bobby Burack.
Burack: The entire secondary is of major need for this team. Looking at what happened in the postseason, the team was decimated and could not stop any passing offesnse. While Sherman would certainly help, the chances of Ted Thompson pulling the trigger on this one is slim to none. Seattle says they want a high draft pick and a quality player for him, while that may be fair, Sherman is not what he once was. The 29-year-old showed signs of decline last year. But more than anything it is his mouth that makes him a major red flag. He went after the coaching staff several times last year. Including calling out their choice to throw the ball on the goal line as opposed to running it. The Packers would be wise to stay away from this one and draft a quality corner.
Richard Sherman said he was upset about the Seahawks throwing from the 1-yard line. Didn’t back off. “We’ve already seen that.” pic.twitter.com/WLH875lbLX

2017 NFL Draft: Looking at some of the best smaller school prospects
2. What should the team focus most on in the upcoming draft?
Burack: Defense! Defense! Defense! Heading into next season the Packers look to be one of the best offensive teams in the league once again. With Aaron Rodgers leading the offense they have little to nothing to worry about. Bringing in Super Bowl-winning tight end, Martellus Bennett, they will be a nightmare for teams to defend. As for their defense, it looks to be suspect at best. With a bad secondary and big losses up front, the team must fix these whole. Players to target in the draft include Jabrill Peppers, Charles Harris, Taco Charlton and Wisconsin’s own T.J. Watt.
3. Who should start at running back after losing Eddie Lacy in free agency?
Burack: The obvious answer here would be Ty Montgomery, who was the featured back in the playoffs last year. However, it should be strongly advised for them to draft a real running back. Montgomery was a receiver who switched positions. This is a deep running back class. Assuming Leonard Fournette and Christian McCaffrey are picked early in the draft, they could elect to use the 29th pick on Dalvin Cook like Mel Kiper says, but it may be smart to wait until the later rounds to address the need. Veteran backs still on the market Adrain Peterson and Jamaal Charles would fit, although, the team has not expressed any interest in the two former Pro Bowlers.
4. The news was broke today that Aaron Rodgers and long time girlfriend Oliva Munn have split, thoughts?
Burack: Never want to address publicly another man’s relationship status, but let’s just say if this makes Rodgers a more focused and a better football player… watch out!
