Backup quarterback Kirk Cousins replaced Robert Griffin III in the fourth quarter with the Washington Redskins trailing the Kansas City Chiefs 45-10.
Cousins also worked a mop-up duty shift in a lopsided loss to the Denver Broncos on Oct. 27.
The Redskins fell behind 24-0 in the first quarter Sunday and were well on their way to a fifth consecutive loss and 3-10 record when Griffin was removed from the game. Cousins was just 5 of 9 passing for 48 yards with two interceptions before his relief work against the Chiefs.
Griffin was 12 of 26 for 165 yards with one touchdown, one interception and 29 rushing yards.
