The Texas A&M coaches hosted a handful of unofficial visitors this past weekend, including Coppell 2019 corner Jonathan McGill.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect shared more about the unofficial visit to College Station.
"It was a great visit," McGill said. "I went with my Mom and Dad, and we spent most of our time with Coach (Terry) Price. He also introduced me to Coach (Ron) Cooper and we spent some time together as well. I had just received his contact information a couple of weeks and we have been talking.
"Coach Price took us on a tour of the football facilities and they were amazing. He also took us to the academic center and we learned more about the academic support for the student athletes. They have tutors and the athletes are very well taken care of from an education standpoint."

McGill was also able to watch the Aggies go through spring practices over the weekend.
"We watched the team go through practice and I was able to watch Coach Cooper with the defensive backs group," McGill said. "I watched guys like Armanti Watts and Keldrick Carper, the true freshman who enrolled early and should still be in high school right now. It was fast and the defense was flying around to the football."
Coach Cooper and Coach Price did talk about a potential offer, but the coaches are continuing to evaluate McGill into the spring.
"Yes, we talked about their interest and the potential for an offer from A&M," McGill said. "It's still a new relationship and Coach Cooper is still new to the program. He is going to come watch me in spring practices later this spring, then we are going to continue getting to know one another this off-season."
McGill currently holds two offers from SMU and Nevada, but several in-state programs are beginning to show interest this spring.
"I have now taken visits to A&M, SMU and Baylor this spring," McGill said. "I'm going back to SMU and taking a visit to Texas next month. Coaches from Oklahoma and TCU have been in contact lately as well.
"I had the Under Armour Camp this past weekend, then I'm attending the Rivals Camp next weekend in Dallas. There are a few other visits that I might take, but I don't have anything else setup right now. I'm just looking to see what programs come through for spring practices, but should have some more visits setup for later this summer."
Currently unrated, McGill finished with 76 tackles, seven (7) interceptions, one (1) interception returned for a touchdown at corner on defense and 562 yards with five (5) touchdowns at receiver on offense - earning District 9-6A All-District Defensive Newcomer of the Year and TSWA Class 6A All-State Second Team Defense as a sophomore.
