You go to for a five hour shift and you come back to find the club chasing players you hadn't even dreamed of. Uwe Rosler and the backroom staff have pulled off a great signing in the closing stages of the transfer window.
29 year old William Kvist the Danish international has signed for Wigan Athletic. With James McArthur out of the club we needed to bring someone in in the midfield to help boost the team. Well the club and Rosler haven't wasted time in bringing in a replacement and a very experienced one at that.
Kvist has been a VfB Stuttgart and Denmark regular for many years and only at the age of 29 years still has his best years ahead of him. He will bring a large amount of experience and talent to a side that is now looking very strong for promotion this year.
As our own manager has said he is a top international in the prime of his career.
Kvist joins the club on a one year deal on a free transfer. Excellent piece of business by the club and shows our ambition to get back into the Premier League. If we go up then surely his contract will be extended and will remain with us for a lot longer.
Welcome to the club William, hope you settle in well!
