Greenville, S.C. got to experience March Madness this year.

In 2019, Columbia will get the same as, Colonial Life Arena has been selected as one of NCAA men's basketball tournament's sites for the first and second rounds.

A press conference has been called for 4 p.m. today to discuss the selection.

The event could reportedly bring between $10 and $15 million to the Midlands.

If the Gamecocks make the tournament in 2019, they would not be able to play in Columbia due to tournament rules.

It would also keep Dawn Staley's women's basketball team from hosting tournament games in 2019, though they will reportedly still be able to play the first two games in the state of South Carolina if they earn that right in the merit-based system the women use.
