The Indianapolis Colts demoted running back Trent Richardson to the bench and will start Donald Brown Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, according to multiple reports.
Richardson was acquired from the Cleveland Browns for a 2014 first-round draft pick in September. Richardson was the No. 3 overall pick of the Browns in 2012.
Richardson has been a bust for the Colts so far. He is averaging just 2.9 yards per carry and has not rushed for more than 60 yards in a game since the trade.
The Colts' offense struggled the past four games, getting outscored 93-12 in the first half during that span.
Brown, who started the season as Indianapolis' No. 3 running back, ran for 80 yards with two touchdowns Nov. 14 against the Titans.
