Viña del Mar (Chile) (AFP) - Colombia captain Radamel Falcao was surprisingly dropped for his team's Copa America clash with Argentina here Friday.

Falcao, aiming to put a miserable season with Manchester United behind him, has been a disappointment in Chile, registering no goals and only a handful of shots on goal.

Colombia coach Jose Pekerman, who had earlier voiced support for the beleaguered star, replaced him in the starting line-up with in-form Porto striker Jackson Martinez.
