College Basketball Roundup: Bentley University player collapses, dies

Joe Glynn, a 19-year-old basketball player at Bentley University, collapsed during a summer league game Monday night and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

The Boston Herald reported Glynn collapsed without making contact with any other player. He was a freshman forward on the basketball team last season. Watertown (Mass.) police said the death would be investigated but they aren't classifying it a suspicious death at this time.

---Lousiville guard Kevin Ware is back on a basketball court, representing welcome news for college basketball fans who witnessed his horrific injury during the NCAA Tournament in March.

Ware announced via Twitter over the weekend that he had his cast removed from his broken right leg and was able stand on his own feet. WDRB.com reported that the sophomore was shooting baskets. He broke his right tibia in Louisville's Elite Eight win over Duke on March 31 and was in a cast for eight weeks.

"I'm not going to do anything to jeopardize it," Ware told WDRB.com. "But I'm not going to take it easy, either."

---Former Missouri guard Michael Dixon is transferring to Memphis after a season-long suspension, according to a CBSSports.com report.

Dixon averaged 13.5 points per game as a junior in 2011-12 season. He was dismissed from the program after being accused of a second sexual assault, though he was never charged.
