Indiana's lone remaining undecided signee from its 2017 class has decided to remain a Hoosier.

Instead of pursuing a release, Hatboro (Pa.) Hatboro-Horsham forward Clifton Moore has elected to stick with his IU commitment, a source told on Sunday night.

Power forward

Commitment status:

It was impressive enough for new IU head coach Archie Miller to retain both Lilburn (Ga.) Berkmar guard Al Durham and Lincolnshire (Ill.) Stevenson forward Justin Smith.

Moore, though, was going to be a fight - from a number of angles.

Start with the four-star forward's status as a prospect. He was a sleeper recruit before committing to Indiana, but he's a secret no more.

In recent weeks, multiple sources reached out to to inquire about Moore's status with his release.

Then you have the recruitment itself. A big reason Moore initially committed to Indiana was Tom Crean's reputation for developing "under the radar" type players into the NBA.

It was also a recruitment that happened pretty quickly. And often, relationships that start quickly can also unravel quickly.

Miller, though, seems to have come through after a April 9 meeting with Moore that must have helped convince the forward to remain a Hoosier.

So the new IU head coach has passed just about every test so far as the Hoosier head man.

If retaining all three signees - all coveted by multiple other schools - is any testament to his coaching, then the fun might be just getting started for Hoosier fans.

This story will be updated.
