The Cleveland defense had no answer for Josh Gordon, but it would prove not enough to avoid a tough loss for the Browns against the Lions, 31-17, at home.
Brandon Weeden accounted for two touchdown on 26 of 43 passing for 292 yards and two picks. Matthew Stafford ended up going 25 of 43 with 248 yards passing, four touchdowns and one pick for the Lions.
Chris Ogbonnaya ran for 24 yards on five carries in addition to seven receptions for 61 yards and a score. Gordon was a top performer, snagging seven passes for 126 yards.
The Cleveland defense surrendered 118 yards rushing and 248 passing. They brought down Stafford for one sack.
Lions tight end Joseph Fauria was impressive, churning out 34 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Running back Reggie Bush also performed well with 78 rushing yards, 57 receiving and one touchdown.
Next week, the Browns head to Green Bay to face the Packers (3-2) while the Lions host the Bengals (4-2).
